István Bozsó earned his BSc degree in Physics and MSc in Geophysics at Eötvös University. He works int he institute since September 2017 supported by the scholorship of MTA Young Researcher. His field of research is the application of satellite radar interferometry for active tectonics. He works in the Space Geodesy research group and participates int he ELTE Earth Sciences Doctoral School training program.
Máté Timkó received his MSC degree in Geophysics at Eötvös University. He joined the Institute's AlpArray research team in 2018. He investigates the transition zone between the Eastern Alps and the Pannon Basin using the dense AlpArray seismic network.
advisory board member
Sierd Cloetingh, President of Academia Europaea, Professor of Utrecht University, is one of the most well-known researchers in Earth sciences. In addition to his achievements in global tectonics and litosphere research, he is a member of several academies, associates and committees, honorary member of the Association of Hungarian Geophysics, and is a Honorary Professzor of Eötvös Loránd University. His presence and work will stimulate other Earth science institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences not just our institute.
